Amount: £150,000 grant
Approved: 2016
Status: Funding complete

GIPSIL delivers housing and support services in Leeds to vulnerable young people (aged 16-25 years), including care-leavers, young parents and those at risk of homelessness.

GISPIL is using funding from the Nationwide Foundation to offer a specialist supported housing scheme for young people (mostly care-leavers) who have experienced very chaotic lives and whose vulnerability and behavioural issues mean they need a structured and supportive environment to prepare them for living independently. The young people receive intensive support and guidance to sustain their tenancies, as well as being given access to training and employment.

GIPSIL previously received funding from the Nationwide Foundation in 2013. Further information about previous funding can be found here.
