The Nationwide Foundation shortlisted for the Charity Awards

The Nationwide Foundation is delighted to have been shortlisted for the Charity Awards 2014 in the category for Grantmaking and Funding. These awards celebrate the inspirational work of UK charities and share best practice and learning across the sector, and the Nationwide Foundation is honoured to have its meaningful and innovative work recognised in this way.

The award submission is for the Foundation's work on the grant-making strategy, Money Matters, Homes Matter, Families Matter which ended in April 2013. This strategy helped vulnerable people affected by financial exclusion, financial abuse, housing problems and debt. In particular, it helped beneficiaries to decrease their debts and maximise their incomes, collectively, by almost £3m, which significantly improved many lives.

The Nationwide Foundation is an independent charity supported by Nationwide which gives grants and social investments to charitable organisations. The winner of the awards will be announced in June.
