Our Values
Our core values are:
- Support
- Innovation
- Trust
- Effectiveness
We use these values to inform our strategy, the activities we support and the impacts that our grants have on both the charity funded and its beneficiaries. We will consider providing grants to registered charities which share an interest in supporting and developing our values; for example, charities which:
- Use innovative and effective approaches to achieve The Foundation's vision supported by imaginative strategic work plans and budgets
- Have a genuine enthusiasm for joint lobbying to increase the impact on social policy through partnership working with other charities
- Demonstrate potential capacity to deliver original activities aimed at making a difference in attitudes as well as service delivery
- Are supportive of a non-competitive approach to funding with a willingness to share experience and expertise with others in the same field
- Demonstrate an eagerness to raise awareness of issues that are under-funded and under-exposed, thus contributing to social change
- Have a willingness to develop self evaluation tools involving users to improve levels of accountability and ensure that you are reaching out to people who are disadvantaged
- Demonstrate an interest in improving the overall capacity of the charity by ensuring improved cost effectiveness and sustainability
- Embrace diversity by working towards accessibility for the most disadvantaged within society
